MISS JAY & BL

J.Alexander, affectionately known many including Tyra Banks as “Miss Jay,” is famous for his appearance as a judge and model coach on America’s Next Top Model. He’s been in Australia recently as the new spokesperson for Fruche yogurt, and made an appearance at Bouchee cafe, right outside BL in Chadstone Shopping Center. We popped over to the exclusive brunch for a yoghurt snack and a chat to Miss Jay, who happened to be OBSESSED with our Belle Du Jour maxi dress!

Leukemia Foundation’s Designer Quilt for a Cure

Bettina Liano took part in a project to raise money and awareness for the Leukemia Foundation of Queensland along with 30 more of Australia’s top fashion designers. All participants applied a signature square to the patchwork quilt, resulting in an adorable piece that can be bought online at auction. We contributed a piece of our signature monogram silk in beige, which you can see just below the top right-hand corner.

GET EXCITED: MSFW

We have been so busy this week with MSFW parties and events, and finally last night we had our show at the Melbourne Town Hall… Which means Summer is upon us and all the beautiful new styles are touching down at BL stores and stockists around the country! Here’s a look at our show and some looks arriving in stores very very soon:

Festival Queen

Spring is finally making herself known; the sun is out and it’s time to prepare for those rapidly expanding social calendars. Our model, Laura, wears an array of outfits, all available in-store and online – from Alexa Chung baby-girl hemlines with vintage whim, to the boyish shapes and interesting patterns favoured by Kate Moss… Just add some sturdy shoes and a scarf or hat and you’ll be ready to go and go and go.
